Question

Denmark provides both flexibility for employers to hire and fire workers as needed and security for workers through generous benefits and retraining opportunities during unemployment. This has commonly become known as ‘flexicurity’. With the COVID-19 pandemic, other governments such as the UK have been supporting workers who may have been furloughed by their companies. Why don’t other countries adopt the Danish flexicurity model in general, and not just during a pandemic? (Note: if you want to give some examples, you may pick any countries you like.)
