Family and social environment affect child’s behavior very much. Parents influence the behaviors and skills of their children indirectly, directly, and through managing their activities. Parents act as the first teachers to their children by giving them the knowledge that is essential for survival. Parents also influence their children inadvertently through their actions daily. Social environment also helps in shaping the behaviors of children. From how the culture is planned to how the environment is also structured always teaches children coaching in how to face the world. For of Soo-Kyung (Sue)she has raised in an environment that her mother was alcoholic, this influenced her behavior of becoming a thielf, self-harm and a drug abuser (Dishion, & Tipsord, 2011). There was no to take care of her and inform her on how to face life outside. On her Aunts place, Soo-Kyung learned about the hard part of life since her aunt had to do three jobs in order to provide for sue and her five nephews and nieces. This family and the environment that Soo-Kyung was brought up were very harsh.

Economic circumstances affect the behavior of the child. Children who are raised in families that are financially stable will tend to mold their behavior and try to live with their parents. In the case of Soo-Kyung, she was raised by a parent who was not financially stable, hence the economic circumstances she was raised in was poor. Soo-Kyung decided to move to her Aunt’s place where life was also tough because her aunt also was not financially stable; she had to work in three jobs so as to provide for Soo-Kyung and the five nieces and nephews. This really affected the behavior of Soo-Kyung.

Parents have the responsibility to raise their children in the best physical environment and give them safety. Physical environment affects the child’s behavior, learning and personality. Soo-Kyung was raised in a hash physical environment and not safe. Soo-Kyung was sexually abused by one of her boyfriends this made her attempt suicide. The environment that Soo-Kyung was raised an environment that made her abuse drugs (Hart, 2013). Her behavior was really affected by how her mother used to behave making her be self-reliance since she lacked parental care.

At school Sue had to attend counseling that will help change her behavior. Even though Sue has been seen with one kid. This implies that she is not open and not ready to share information about her life. In school her behavior was also affected by the behavior of her friend. Schools try to mould behaviors of students through giving them punishment when they are on the wrong but for the case of Sue the school had to give her a counselor but she could not share anything with her counselor.

Top Three Areas that Seem to be the Most Influential in this Child’s Behavior

Both environment and gens are significant in shaping the behavior of a child. Sue’s behavior was not shaped well because there was no one to take good care of her. Her mother was alcoholic and had no time for her child. Going to her aunt she was also busy attending to the tree jobs thus having no time to shape the behavior of Sue, she was raised in a harsh environment.sue was not social because she was unable to talk with her counselor at length. In school Sue had only one friend whom she could talk with. This was as a result of the environment she was raised in (Ingersoll, & Hambrick, 2011).

Education is also another factor that affects child’s behavior. In school children are taught to be respectful and discipline. In school children talk with other children this enhances socialization. But for the case of Sue she had only one friend to talk to and also she was not able to discuss her family and herself with the counselor.

Sue in this case is self-reliant. As seen in the case study her mother is alcoholic and she is always in and out of relationships. Sue’s mother has no time for her child. Sue has to rely on herself. Theories of Macrosystem and Microsystem, their Influences and How It Impacts on Children

The microsystem is the most immediate and smallest environment that the child lives. Microsystem includes community environment, peer group,daycare or school, or the home of the child. The personal relationship is the typical interaction within microsystem (Hart, 2013). This relationship is with classmates,family members,caregivers and teachers. This interaction will influence the behavior and how the child will grow. In the same way, the reaction of the child to people in this environment will affect how the child will be treated.

In this case the environment Sue was raised up influenced her behavior. Her mother was her drunkard, this behavior influenced Sue to become a drug abuser,a thief and self-harm. Her mother was never their for her, this made Sue not to socialize with people since, in school, she had only one friend to talk to. Having brought up in such environment, this influenced Sue to be hostile,having a bad odor,shabbily dressed and refusing to open up.The school tried to have a counselor for her but she refused to open up and share out her situation. Her mother’s boyfriend sexually abused her because their was no one to take care of her. Her mother had no time to take care of the child. Going to her Aunt’s place, life is tough her aunt has to attend to her three jobs so as to be able to provide for the family. This was a harsh environment for sue (Lee, 2011)..

Macro system is the most distant and largest collection of places and people to the child. This situation still exercises importantly influence the child. It is composed of the values and cultural patterns of the child, particularly the child’s dominant ideas and beliefs, also economic and political system.

Sue was brought up in a family that is not well off financially since her mother had no time to hustle for her. She decided to move to her aunt’s place where life was not also good since her aunt has to struggle in order to provide for the family. Her aunt also rarely comes home. This made sue to help out because she loves her aunt.

Roles Children Plays in her School and Peer Group and How that Correlates with the Expressed Behavior

Children are expected to contribute to the success of their learning. Children are supposed to take part in all the opportunities in learning, show respect and act in accordance with the rules and regulations of the school, children should on daily basis attend school unless they are sick or have a valid reason as to why they have to be absent, at individual classes and also at school children should be punctual be at school in time, take care of equipments and buildings that belong to the school, children should co-operate and listen to school staffs this will help them to get the necessary information they want,and lastly it is the duty of children to socialize and respect others in school (Hart, 2013).In school Sue was very selfish and she could not open up or socialize with other children. Even after the school gives her a counselor to counsel her, but she was hostile and could not open up to discuss anything about her and the family.

Children have to be part of their peer group by being a source of information, by providing moral and giving support to others,and helping in creating relationships and teach them on how they should relate with others.Sues behavior was not influenced by the peer groups in the school also she did not contribute to the peer. Sue was very selfish and could not socialize with anyone at school. Peer groups help in advising others to behave well, but sue she was a abuses drugs,thief and self-harm.

Impact of the school and the peer group as a socializing

Schools act as socialization agents through hidden curriculum. Children are taught the values and norms of the society. It also educates children how they should perceive and treat others in their classes (Handel, 2011). Schools give children to manifest their personalities, capabilities and qualities. Personality and character of the teacher will influence the behavior of the child. The child’s behavior is also influenced by the schoolmates also.

Peer groups are made of children’s friends and this equals with same interests, motives and drives. The child’s social world has its own form of interaction, acceptable forms of values and behavior that the adults cannot recognize. Peer groups act as social groups that affect how their members behave. The key areas the impact the behavior of a child is the family, school, social environment and also the peer groups.
