Option 2: Short Essay
This option should only take about 2 hours. My goal is to create an “apples for apples” alternative for those that can’t make the match, or would rather do something different this week. You will read an MITSloan Management Review article titled What Businesses Can Learn From Sports Analytics and summarize the article by addressing the following questions:
- What does the article imply about “alignment”?
- How can sports analytics help business with performance improvement?
- What is meant by “business ecosystems” and how can sports analytics impact business ecosystems?
I will be grading for grammar, spelling, and flow. I would expect 5 paragraphs over 1-2 pages on single spaced, 12 point font (Calibri). I would expect an opening paragraph, one paragraph for each of the bullets listed above, and a conclusion (what do you think?).
