The assessment asks you to complete three tasks:

- Write a reflective account of an incident when you experienced discomfort due to difference in your own work and/or personal experiences
- Undertake a courageous conversation with a colleague or critical friend about this incident. Write notes about your conversation identifying the underlying assumptions, biases, values and perspectives that both of you hold; the emotional experience or connection that was created; and the agreements, if any, that you both made
- In your final account, discuss what you learned from this experience in relation to your leadership practice

Learning objectives assessed:
LO 1. be able to identify and discuss how leadership is mobilised in relation to a range of cultural, racial, ethnic, identity and other demographic differences;
LO 2. be able to critically engage in discussions about difference and how it constructs opportunities and limitations in the practice of leadership;
LO 4. be able to put into practice learning about difference and leadership in the face of challenges in relationships, workplaces and society.
